OMAHA, Neb. —

We are kicking off an important month, October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness month. KETV Newswatch 7's Anna Behning went one-on-one with Dr. Michael McNamara, CHI Health general surgeon and CHI Health Breast Health Center medical director.

The Breast Health Center focuses on a "single-session approach" that gives patients access to its entire team in one meeting. The team focuses on a step-by-step game plan to help their patients feel cared for and united with the team.

McNamara says there is no limit on family, friends or loved ones who can be in the clinic room, as support is vital.

The Breast Health Center is the only triple-accredited center in Nebraska.
