The University of Pittsburgh has reported a jump of 1,000-plus students on its Oakland campus this fall after welcoming its largest freshman class in school history.

Over 31,200 students currently attend the Pittsburgh campus — up about 1,300 students, or 4%, from fall 2024, according to data shared by Pitt on Wednesday.

There are almost 21,400 undergraduates enrolled this fall, a nearly 1,000-student increase from last fall.

Graduate enrollment stands at over 9,800, up more than 300 students.

Demand for a Pitt education has remained consistently high post-pandemic, with the university seeing repeated enrollment increases and application surges since the fall 2022 semester. This May, Pitt graduated its largest class ever.
