For three decades, the Cochrane Regional Food Bank has worked to ensure nobody in the community goes hungry.
Now, it’s marking the milestone with a celebration.

Opened in December of 1995, the food bank has grown into a regional hub, distributing food not only to local families but to neighbouring communities across northeastern Ontario, as well.
Manager Ardis Chedore noted the fact the organization has lasted this long is its greatest achievement.
“I think definitely the longevity of it [is its greatest achievement] because to have a volunteer organization for 30 years that has been able to stay afloat especially in the changing economy and still having the community support — that’s a big thing,” she said.
