Hurricane Imelda is expected to be near Category 2 strength when it passes close to Bermuda late today.

Swells generated by Hurricane Imelda and Hurricane Humberto continue to impact Florida and the U.S. east coast.

Hurricane Imelda continues to strengthen as it moves away from Florida, according to the National Hurricane Center.

Imelda is expected to be a strong Category 2 storm, with winds of 105 mph, within the next 12 hours.

The storm is forecast to bring hurricane-force winds, damaging waves and flash flooding to Bermuda Wednesday, Oct. 1.
