ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A Fulton County inmate is in critical condition after being assaulted inside the jail, according to the sheriff’s office.

The sheriff’s office said Tyriana Ledbetter, 20, was hospitalized in critical condition after being attacked by Shania White, 27.

The sheriff’s office said it “remains deeply concerned about the well-being of inmate resident Ledbetter. Our thoughts are with her and her loved ones during this difficult time as she continues to receive medical care.”

White was charged with aggravated assault, aggravated battery, and tampering with evidence, the sheriff’s office said. jail records indicate she was previous booked on drug-related charges.
