ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Authorities have given the all-clear after investigating a reported bomb threat at a Coweta County high school on Thursday, the sheriff’s office said.

Deputies and the fire department responded to the reported threat at Northgate High School in Newnan.

First responders and school resource officers searched the campus and have since given the all-clear, according to the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies are working with federal authorities to investigate the origins of the threat.

The Coweta County School System notified parents about the incident, the sheriff’s office said.
