A Delhi-Lucknow Air India flight witnessed a mid-air fight after an MLA from Uttar Pradesh and a passenger got into a heated clash over the latter using foul language while speaking on the phone. The altercation escalated despite repeated objections from fellow travellers, forcing cabin crew to step in and separate the two men.

The incident took place on Tuesday aboard flight AI-837. Rakesh Pratap Singh , a Samajwadi Party MLA from Gauriganj who was expelled in June for anti-party activities, objected to Samad Ali allegedly using foul language while talking on the phone.

As the altercation escalated, cabin crew had to intervene to separate the two, according to a source.
