BATON ROUGE, La. (KLFY) -- For many, Halloween celebrations have grown to include the entire month of October, and the Louisiana State Parks are along for the spooky ride.

It all gets started on Saturday, Oct. 4, with events such as the two-day “Rollercoaster of Love” mountain bike festival at Bogue Chitto State Park, Hallow-Palloza featuring hay rides, crafts and games on Friday, Oct. 10 at Lake D’Arbonne State Park, parades and trick-or-treating at Fairview-Riverside State Park and Jimmie Davis State Park, learn about creepy critters at Tickfaw State Park, or go for a self-guided hike along the spooky kids trail at Lake Bistineau State Park.

On Saturday, Oct. 25, kids can trick-or-treat at 17 different state parks.
