LUBBOCK, Texas -- The City of Lubbock fall and winter irrigation restrictions officially went into effect on October 1st, and will continue through March 31, 2026.
On your regularly scheduled watering days, irrigation is only allowed when temperatures outside are above 35 degrees Fahrenheit. Other year-round restrictions still apply.
The City's Director of Code Enforcement Stuart Walker said in a press release, "It is important to note that it's not just against City ordinance to run outdoor irrigation when temperatures fall below 35°F, it's a public safety hazard and an infrastructure issue."
