ADAMS COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) -- Adams County's apples are about to attract a whole bunch of visitors.

The South Mountain Fairgrounds host the National Apple Harvest Festival the first two weekends of October each year. It features live music, attractions and hundreds of vendors offering handmade crafts and apple-inspired food and beverages.

"Every year I look forward to trying to eat apples as many ways as possible from the apple pizza to apple grilled cheese, apple dumplings, apple crisp," said Mary Grace Kauffman, media relations manager for Destination Gettysburg.

The festival is open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays, rain or shine. Organizers said its busiest traffic hits during the 8 a.m. t
