STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- The Department of Transportation will conduct extensive roadway repair and maintenance work across Staten Island during the week of Oct. 6, potentially affecting traffic patterns throughout the borough.
The city will deploy both in-house paving crews and contract milling crews for daytime work within Community Board 2. Additional maintenance crews will operate across multiple Community Boards around the clock.
The scheduled work aims to maintain safe and efficient roadways but may create temporary detours and street closures in affected areas, according to the Department of Transportation.
Drivers should expect potential delays and plan alternate routes, according to the DOT.
