GREER, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - An Upstate woman narrowly missed a major lottery jackpot - but is still taking home a prize.
The Powerball player bought three tickets from P&P Food Mart on North Main Street in Greer for the Aug. 27 drawing.
The jackpot at the time was $850 million.
She fell short by just one number, winning $200,000 instead of nearly a billion dollars.
“Honestly, I don’t believe it,” the winner told lottery officials after cashing in the ticket.
She plans on saving the money. P&P Food Mart will get $2,000 as a commission.
