The exact hour snowfall begins in the UK in October has been revealed. Parts of the UK, according to WX Charts, which uses Met Desk data to predict what is in store, has projected a whopping 5cm per hour of the white stuff.
The maps and charts have shown blotches of purple, white and grey spreading across the chart in Scotland, north of the border, on October 18. The 48-hour blast will kick off from around midday on Saturday, October 18.
It will stick around until October 19. British Weather Services' senior meteorologist Jim Dale has spoken out over the incoming Storm Amy this week, saying: "Amber warnings are not to be sniffed at, even if they are in parts of the country more used to storms than other parts.
