In front of a sellout crowd for the Battle of the Bay and in what served as a homecoming for Norfolk State’s first-year head coach Michael Vick, Hampton earned a 41-34 victory in a game filled with momentum shifts and high drama. Despite trailing by 11 points in the second quarter, the Pirates surged back and held off the Spartans to secure their second win of the season, improving to 2-4. Norfolk State fell to 1-5 with the loss.
