WARRICK COUNTY, Ind. (WEVV) — Warrick County Schools will install a "weapon detection system" in all high schools following an incident in late September when a gun was brought into Castle High School

In a statement to 44News, Warrick County Schools said:

"The Warrick County School Corporation (WCSC) remains committed to continually monitoring and reviewing our safety protocols and security measures. As an additional action step to strengthen our layered safety approach, WCSC will begin rolling out the installation of a weapons detection system at each high school campus."

On September 25th, a student brought a gun in their backpack to Castle High School. Students notified the administration, student was detained, and the weapon was seized by law enforcement.
