ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A Monroe County jury has convicted 44-year-old Rodney Lowman in two separate cases: one for a deadly 2022 hit-and-run and another for a 2023 sexual abuse and shooting incident.

On Friday, Lowman was found guilty of manslaughter in the second degree and leaving the scene of an incident resulting in death in connection with the 2022 death of 36-year-old Richard Massey Jr.

Prosecutors said Massey was struck and killed on the morning of Feb. 6, 2022, while helping a friend involved in a minor crash on North Winton Road near Blossom Road. Investigators said Lowman hit Massey with his vehicle and fled the scene.
