ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) - The trial for Alfred Rue IV began on Oct. 6 and will continue next year in the spring.
Rue is accused of second-degree murder in the death of De’Asia Mullins of Alexandria.
The next date for trial is on April 6, 2026 .
Court records show that on April 14, 2025, a jury was selected in the case against Rue, who is also charged with one count of introduction of contraband into a penal facility.
If convicted on the murder charge, Rue faces a mandatory life sentence without the possibility of parole.
