The daughter of a man killed in a 2022 vehicle crash in Front Royal seeks to settle with the driver who caused the fatal collision.

Donald Martin received a suspended prison sentence in January in Warren County Circuit Court for involuntary manslaughter in the death of Charles Shipe. Martin caused the motor vehicle crash that left Shipe injured. Shipe died from his injuries about three weeks later.

Martin and his business, Martin Transport LLC, and their insurance provider, Progressive Commercial aka United Financial Casualty Company, filed a petition for court approval of a wrongful death settlement in Warren County Circuit Court on Sept. 23. The respondent, Susan Conner, Shipe’s daughter and administrator of her father’s estate, supports the petition, the document states.
