Comox residents and visitors can now plan barrier-free routes through town with the help of a new online accessibility map launched by the Town of Comox.

The interactive map identifies accessible parking stalls, washrooms, pathways, and community amenities, along with elevation details for sidewalks and trails.

“This map is a practical tool that enhances understanding of accessibility in our community,” said Comox Mayor Nicole Minions in a release.

“Whether you’re using a mobility aid, pushing a stroller, or simply want to get around a challenging terrain, this map can help you plan the safest route. We recognize the importance of accessibility for everyone and are committed to ongoing learning.”
