AKRON, Ohio (WJW) - Tim Hutchinson, 25, achieved a lifelong dream when he graduated from the University of Akron's College of Engineering in May 2025 and then was hired as a mechanical engineer at Daisy Brand Dairy Products in his hometown of Wooster.

"He has always wanted to be an engineer. He was a tinkerer, he loved electronics, he loved circuits and he loved building," his sister, Rachel Hutchinson, said.

His sister said "Timmy," as he was known to his family, enjoyed returning to Akron on the weekends to see his college friends and he often volunteered to serve as the designated driver when they went out on the town.

When friends asked Tim for a ride home early Sunday morning from a bar in Akron's Highland Square neighborhood, he was there for them.
