As lawmakers debate a short-term funding bill in the nation's capitol, the impact of the government shutdown is being felt in KELOLAND.
The Faith Temple Food Giveaway is seeing an increase in people reaching out about its program.
"We received an email from a gal, she said she's 25 and is currently furloughed due to the government shutdown. She's a federal worker and she's trying to make ends meet," said Josh Hayes with the Faith Temple Food Giveaway.
