Melbourne radio host Tom Elliott has engaged in a heated exchange with pro-Palestine activist Nasser Mashni over plans for a protest on the anniversary of the October 7 terrorist attack.
The Australian Palestine Advocacy Network is holding a “public vigil” in Melbourne’s Queen Victoria Gardens on Tuesday evening to honour those killed in what they describe as the “Gaza genocide”.
In a statement put out by the group, APAN says the event will “commemorate the second anniversary of the genocidal escalation and the martyrdom of Palestinians”.
However it is being held exactly two years after Hamas killed 1200 people and took another 250 hostage in the largest attack on Jews since the Holocaust.
