BBC The One Show pay tribute to 'amazing writer' Dame Jilly Cooper after sudden death

During the latest episode of The One Show, Alex Jones announced the sad news of Dame Jilly Cooper's passing.

The renowned author died at the age of 88 on Sunday (October 5) morning following a fall, her agent confirmed on Monday (October 6).

In a heartfelt statement, her children Felix and Emily expressed: "Mum was the shining light in all of our lives. Her love for all of her family and friends knew no bounds.
