LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

The Louisville saw drought-busting amounts of rain between Monday and Tuesday, with some areas seeing flooding.

A flood warning was in effect for Louisville and surrounding areas on Tuesday. The flash flooding threat has ended in the late afternoon.

Multiple water rescues were reported across the region Tuesday afternoon as rain fell for hours.

The heaviest rain is shifting to the east, but scattered showers will remain through the afternoon.
