A 35-year-old Pennfield man has been arrested following an investigation into the electronic distribution of child sexual abusive material, according to the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office.

Detectives were able to identify the suspect and obtain a search warrant for his residence. On Oct. 6, members of the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team, along with detectives, executed the search warrant, and the man was taken into custody without incident.

The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office was assisted in this investigation by the Albion Department of Public Safety and the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi Police Department.
