GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Grand Island’s annual Community Fireworks celebration is relocating for its fourth year with a special location change to commemorate the America’s 250th birthday. The 2026 Fourth of July event will be held on the Stuhr Museum campus.

“We are grateful to our partners at Fonner Park and the Grand Island Casino Resort for their support and understanding during this special year,” said Fireworks Committee member Greg Geis. “We are thrilled to celebrate this historic milestone at the Stuhr Museum campus.”

According to the City of Grand Island, the location change followed careful consultation with fireworks technician Don Wisniewski of J & M Displays and Grand Island/Hall County Emergency Management Director Jon Rosenlund.
