VENICE, Fla. ( WWSB ) — After a nine-month investigation, Venice police have arrested a man in connection with a January overdose death.
According to the Venice Police Department, Justin Companion, 41, of Venice, was arrested Oct. 7 and is accused of distributing heroin that investigators say resulted in the death of James Harrington III on Jan. 17, 2025.
Detectives determined that the heroin distributed by Companion directly caused Harrington’s fatal overdose, police said.
