Two pilots and two passengers were on board, but both were alert and speaking with airport staff after the incident.

Chaudoin said Runway 15/33 at Bowman Field is temporarily closed, but Runway 6/24 is open for operations.

The aircraft was not based at Bowman Field and was en route to Louisville on a scheduled flight, Chaudoin said. According to a report from the U.S. Department of Transportation, it is owned by Starlite Aviation LLC in North Carolina.
