CORDOVA, Ala. (WIAT) -- Cordova Police Chief Jason Hare has resigned.

The police department confirmed Hare's resignation, but did not provide a reason for it.

Walker County Sheriff Nick Smith said the sheriff's office is prepared to assist with calls in Cordova if necessary.
