Quebe Merrit is a Montgomery resident and business owner. She was there when bullets started flying Saturday night.
“I just started hearing gunfire. I immediately sought cover and got between two vehicles and got down as low as I could. And I honestly just waited until I didn't hear any more shooting and made a run to try to get to my vehicle.”
Merritt said she's never been through anything like it but believes the violent attack was a fluke and could've happened anywhere.
Montgomery resident Marion Amos believes the city needs help to deal with the crime.
