DENVER (KDVR) — University of Colorado Boulder football coach Deion Sanders announced in a press conference on Tuesday morning that he is having surgery later in the day, but doesn't plan to miss any time with his team.

Following the Buffs' last game against TCU on Saturday, Coach Prime said he was "hurting like crazy" and believed that another stint with blood clots was the cause. He was seen sitting and limping at times during the game.

He has a previous history of blood clots and had to have two toes amputated because of it.

Sanders did not name the procedure he is undergoing.
