Burton offers look at what’s happening at Parks and Rec

MARTINSBURG — Berkeley County Parks and Recreation Director Joe Burton offered a look at “What’s New, What’s Tradition and What’s Next” during his presentation to the Martinsburg-Berkeley County Chamber of Commerce recently, sharing a mix of new projects, popular programs and upcoming goals for the department.

Burton began by highlighting improvements and additions within the county’s growing park system. Among the newest sites is Hopes Run Battlefield, a 10-acre pocket park in the Spring Mills area.
