HARVARD, Ill. — A police officer found two dead people inside a vehicle on Monday.

Just after 11:45 p.m. on Oct. 6, an officer of the Harvard Police Department saw a parked vehicle with its hazards on in the 700 block of North Division Street. The vehicle was in the northbound lane, causing cars to enter the middle turn lane to get around it.

The officer looked inside the vehicle and found a woman, the driver, and a man, the passenger, both dead.

North Division Street was closed between Diggins Street and McKinley Street after the incident. Just after 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday , it was opened back up.

The McHenry County Major Investigative Assistance Team is still investigating the incident.
