LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The price of health insurance is going up in Nevada by an average of about 24%, according to rates for the 2026 calendar year.
Open enrollment in plans offered by Nevada Health Link begins Nov. 1, and state officials are encouraging people to see if they qualify for reduced rates and do some "window shopping" through October.
There are some unknowns regarding the final cost to consumers, and the federal government shutdown is delaying answers, but people should know that the increase in costs isn't necessarily going to end up in their insurance premiums. Rates in the chart below are for gross premiums — affecting policies sold on the open market and policies sold through Nevada's health insurance exchange at NevadaHealthLink.com.
