CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Spot on Lakeshore has closed.

The restaurant’s Facebook post said: “Due to circumstances beyond our control, we have made the difficult decision to close our doors for business. Effective immediately.”

It thanked its customers and added that all the displayed artwork remains “safe and secure.” Artists can contact the restaurant to collect it.

The restaurant - at 7272 Lakeshore Blvd., Mentor – served breakfast, lunch, dinner and cocktails, offering a full bar, lounge, dining area and party room. Its website touted its “casual, yet chic setting.” Its dinner menu featured comfort food like meat loaf and chicken paprikash.

It opened four years ago.

Over the years, Chef Zachary Bond coordinated several dinners with the folks at M Cellars in Geneva.
