LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- A Clark County aviation official has voluntarily stepped down from an airport service company position, which was unpaid, after a review into conflict-of-interest claims.

On Tuesday the Clark County Board of Commissioners were provided with an update to an ongoing review into some pilots’ claims Ben Czyzewski, general aviation director for Clark County Department of Aviation (CCDOA), had a conflict of interest while working as a county official while also sitting on the board of a company, Air Elite, which has contracts with the airports.

“While the employee had prior approval in 2022 to participate in the Air Elite’s board this relationship was revaluated by the (CCDOA), the county manager’s office, and the district attorney,” Kevin Schiller, the Clark County Manager
