ALBANY, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) - About 100 friends, family, and former colleagues made the trip to Albany today to witness John "JR" Gaudet's name be added to the New York State Fallen Firefighters Memorial Wall.

The Binghamton firefighter's union arranged for a bus to take supporters to the Empire State Convention Center for the annual ceremony.

Gaudet was killed in February while battling a fire on Main Street that was allegedly set by a homeless man.

Dave Holleran is President of the local union as well as Executive Vice President of the New York State Professional Fire Fighters Association.
