NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Oct. 7, 2025 marks two years since Hamas launched a deadly terrorist attack on Israel. That attack has since sparked a war and left thousands of dead in both Gaza and Israel.
In Nashville, a Metro Councilmember filed a resolution condemning any actions by the U.S. and Israel that "contribute to a continuation of the genocide of the Palestinian people."
On Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas launched a surprise terrorist attack on Israel, killing roughly 1,200 people.
“What happened on October 7th two years ago was horrific — undoubtfully horrific. What has continued to happen as a result of that is immoral," Ginny Welsch, Councilmember for District 16, said. "It has crossed the line."
