BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - The U.S. Senate has confirmed the appointments of two North Dakotans to federal posts.
Kirsten Baesler is confirmed as Assistant Secretary for Elementary and Secondary Education at the Department of Education.
She will oversee federal policy for K-12 schools.
Baesler has been North Dakota’s Superintendent of Public Instruction since 2013.
has Nicholas W. Chase will serve as United States Attorney for the District of North Dakota.
Chase has served as a judge in North Dakota’s East Central Judicial District in Fargo since 2022.
