MONTICELLO – A Monticello man has been arrested felony possession of drugs with intent to sell and related crimes following a warrant search of Deon Morgan’s apartment at 32 St. John Street.

When the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Gang Intelligence and Narcotics Unit attempted to execute a search warrant on his apartment last Friday morning, the 40-year-old was leaving his home. When deputies tried to stop him, he took off in a vehicle, but was stopped and taken into custody.

When the warrant was executed, police found drugs and also charged him with tampering with physical evidence, criminal use of drug paraphernalia, criminal fleeing, reckless driving as well as several vehicle and traffic violations.
