Big changes are on the horizon for the Roswell Daily Record.

Beginning October 28, our newspaper will no longer be printed in-house. Instead, all printing will move to The Santa Fe New Mexican.

The Roswell Daily Record has owned and operated a press since its inception in the 1880s. But we have made the decision to no longer print in house. This comes after dealing with years of rising production costs, declining print revenue, and the growing challenge of maintaining an aging press. Like many small, independently owned newspapers, we’ve reached a point where printing locally simply isn’t sustainable anymore.

Moving our printing to Santa Fe will improve print quality and help us manage costs so we can continue focusing on what matters most: delivering the local news you can count on.
