A Cedar Falls man has been arrested for allegedly neglecting his dog, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Cedar Falls police and animal specialists were originally called to a home on Parker Street on September 19 th where they found a dog in a chain link enclosure that they described as “filthy”. There was no water in the enclosure and the dog’s ribs were visible, it had an open wound on its snout, and its claws were overgrown. Police talked with the dog’s owner, 57 year old Travis Redd, about improving the dog’s condition. On Sunday police made a follow up visit where Redd was allegedly uncooperative. Police say the dog still had no water in his enclosure. Redd has been charged with Animal Neglect.
