On Wednesday at 5:21 a.m. the National Weather Service released a coastal flood advisory valid for Thursday between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. for Atlantic and Cape May counties.
“Up to one foot of inundation above ground level expected in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways,” states the weather service. “Additional minor coastal flooding is forecast with the morning high tides into the weekend.”
“At this level, flooding begins on the most vulnerable roads in coastal and bayside communities, and along inland tidal waterways.
