Firefighters are still battling a fire at the Port of Vancouver that started about 9 p.m. Tuesday night and say the fire may not be out until Thursday.
The Vancouver Fire Department was called to Pacific Coast Shredding, 900 Port Way, about 8:40 p.m. for a report of a fire in a scrap pile.
Eight engines, along with a dozen other firefighting vehicles responded to the fire, with three engines and other personnel still on scene at 7:30 a.m.
“The fire just kind of took off pretty quick, so we called for additional resources,” Bryan Fredrickson, department spokesman, told KOIN News . “The water supply is difficult down here.
