HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA)— Marine Deputies with Hernando County made an unexpected rescue over the weekend when two people took an inflatable pool out in the Gulf.

"While it seemed like smooth sailing at first, the Gulf had other plans," HCSO said in a post on Facebook.

Marine deputies safely brought them back to shore.

"We're glad everyone made it back safely- but let this be a reminder: inflatable pools belong in the backyard, not open water," HCSO said.
