CHELAN COUNTY, Wash. -- Washington Department of Transportation has reopened Highway 97 for the first time since late September.
According to WSDOT, a pilot car will lead traffic 24 hours a day between Upper Tronson Creek Road and Ingalls Creek Road.
WSDOT reminds people to drive slow and never pass the pilot car.
Blewett Pass had been closed for about two weeks due to the Labor Mountain Fire which has burned about 62 square miles and is 10% contained, according to Inciweb.
Drivers heading along on Blewett Pass should be mindful of crews still working in the area, and WSDOT says the road may be closed again on short notice if conditions change.
