FRANKFORT, Ky. — National publication Governing Magazine has named Secretary of State Michael Adams, R-Ky., Public Official of the Year, one of seven nationally.
According to a release from Adams’ office, each year, Governing honors state and local leaders on both sides of the aisle who have accomplished significant changes for those they serve.
“When people look at Washington and see dysfunction and the federal government literally not working, this is a great reminder that there is another way: toning down the rhetoric and working together to solve our biggest challenges,” Adams said.
Adams is the first Kentuckian recognized with this honor since Senate President Robert Stivers, R-Manchester, 10 years ago. It’s Adams’ second national recognition, after the John F. Kennedy Library F
