WATERLOO, Iowa — Black Hawk County Supervisor Christopher Schwartz was arrested on Wednesday.

Officials confirmed that 45-year-old Schwartz was taken into custody and booked into the Black Hawk County Jail.

According to the affidavit, Schwartz faces two counts of sexual abuse from incidents alleged to have occurred in August 2023.

In one instance, it is alleged Schwartz took pictures of the victim while they were incapacitated. In another allegation, the victim claims they were incapacitated and woke up to Schwartz on top of them, penetrating them.

Schwartz is being held at the Black Hawk County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
