SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — State and local officials held the official groundbreaking ceremony for Savannah's $398 million riverfront project.
The view from River's Street will look a little different for the next three years and beyond as The Signia by Hilton hotel is expected to open its doors to the public in 2028 on Hutchinson Island. The hotel will neighbor the Savannah Convention Center and is projected to boost local tourism and employment.
The Savannah Georgia Convention Center Authority (SGCCA) and Hilton signed a management agreement for the property, making the 444-room hotel the Convention Center's headquarters.
