ROCK HILL, S.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Detectives have charged a man in connection with a deadly shooting in Rock Hill Wednesday morning.

At 5:25 a.m., York County deputies were dispatched to a home near the 6000 block of Mandarin Drive for reports of a shooting.

When deputies arrived, they found a woman with a gunshot wound. She was transported to an area hospital, where she later died. The victim has not been identified.

During the preliminary investigation, detectives determined that the victim and the suspect knew each other and had gotten into an argument before the shooting.
